Go to the Edmodo site - enter as "teacher" - join with username and password - search for the group: Basal Alignment Project - Group code is etuyrm The stories in the most popular basals for grades 3-5 have been revised to include text dependent questions, vocabulary lessons, and cumulative tasks aligned to the Common Core.
Explains exactly what students must know, do, and understand for each standard. Great for breaking down standards with students. Also a great resource for vertical articulation.
Drake County in Ohio has created "I can " statements for all of the standards. Great strategy for goal setting. They also show the complexity progression.
